The Blowholes about 20 minutes from Albany are a must visit during the day (well...at least when the sea is rough and actually blowing through the holes, otherwise its just a lump of rock). At night time, don't bother trying to take a nightscape of the blowholes as you (a) need to be lucky that its actually blowing hard, (b) it won't be visible in your shots unless you shine a light on it, and (c) its not that big so would be dwarfed in any wide angle shot - unless you got real, real close (in which case you are liable to get your camera wet).
However, from the Blowholes is a great view to the west across the bay and the distant Cave Point Lighthouse. I tried to get a shot of the Milkway slowly setting behind it but it didn't quite line up:
Summary Info
CATEGORY: Seascape
RATING: Average
ACCESS: 2wd, sealed roads. But a decent walk.
FEATURES: Views of Peak Head to the east, and Cave Point lighthouse and bay to the west.
CONSTRAINTS: Bit of a walk to the blowholes and no views north.
SUMMARY: The blowholes are something to experience (during the day), but are no good for nightscapes. However, the car park has good views of Peak Head to the east, and if one walks down to near the Blowholes themselves there is good views over the bay to Cave Point lighthouse.

However, it might be worth trying again some day down the track. Back at the carpark it is possible to get a shot of Peak Head to the east - a large outcropping of rock. You can get the galaxy core rising up behind it if you visit it during Autumn / Winter.
Situated in Torndirrup national park, the Blowholes are about 20 minutes from Albany. Its also situated close to other attractions, such as The Gap, The Bridge, and some great coastline (dangerous in most places, so be warned). There is a car park at the top, but to get to the Blowholes is a 15 minute walk, downhill for some portion of it - making for a bit of effort if you are carrying heaps of camera gear.
