The somewhat amusingly named Hangover bay is an uninspiring beach with the fortune of being under dark skies. There is a clear view west out to the ocean, and views north and south along the bay, but otherwise there is little on the beach apart from sand and water (and seaweed). Towards the south end of the bay are some rocks, but little else.
However, I did manage to take this of the setting core over the Indian Ocean - not too shabby.
Hangover Bay can be access right off the Indian Ocean Drive, and leads into a car park which is a common spot for travellers to park up for the night. If you do end up giving this spot a chance, I recommend taking a sand trail south from the car park which leads to a more secluded access to the beach.
Being in close proximity to the fantastic Pinnacles, this location is a distant second best for nightscape photography. As you can't camp in the Pinnacles, maybe this bay is an opportunity to spend the night before heading off home in the morning?
