Apopular beach during the day with locals and those in the know, at night you can be alone with the gentle but chilling sea breeze and the crystal clear stars above. The bay is a great swimming spot due to the line of rocks that stand a short distance off shore, breaking the sea waves and creating a calm "pool" along the beach. This can create unique compositions at night and is what makes Green's Pool a must visit for seascapes.
From the car park there are stairs leading down to the beach. Another set of stairs leads from an auxiliary car park to a rocky hill that is on the east most portion of the bay. This is a recommended spot for photography as you get a high vantage point look over the bay to the west. However, the beach itself is still a good spot as well, and numerous compositions are possible.

William Bay is about 20 minutes by car from the tourist town of Denmark. Denmark itself is about four and a half to five hours from Perth and is a fantastic place to visit (and stay) in its own right. Apart from all the tourist trap, there are many places in the great southern that are very photogenic - you'll not want for possibilities. However, what you may want in the end are clear skies - the great southern region rarely has them.
If you do manage to get to Green's Pool, don't forget the option of trying Elephant Rocks, only a five minute walk from Green's Pool. You can do both in a night, depending upon the orientation of the night sky.
