Astrofest 2023 Winner

I am honoured to have my image of the 2023 total eclipse in Exmouth chosen as the Best Astro photo and the Best Eclipse photo in the West Australian annual Astrofest 2023. This came as a very pleasant surprise considering the number of entries submitted (over 500) and the quality of many of those images. In fact, the competition was so formidable that I figured my best chance to win a prize was to steal them beforehand and make a run for it (security footage of me making my getaway with an evil grin on my face).
But in all seriousness, my thanks go to the judges: Andrew Lockward, David Johnson and Paul Dowe. A special thankyou to Roger Groom who every year makes the Astrofest Astrophotography exhibition a great success. Also to the sponsors of the prizes, Sony, Binocentral and Skywatcher Australia.
