Usually images of this region of the Orion contellation focus mostly on the Horsehead and Flame Nebula as these are bright (relatively) and recognisable. However, these nebulae are but one part of a complex sea of dust and gas that otherwise lies mostly hidden due to their dimness. Having focused on revealing these dim structures, the familiar Horsehead nebula is seemingly relegated to the "background" - no longer dominating the field of view. Instead, the whole view appears to boil in turmoil, making I hope an interesting and different perspective on a popular deep sky target.
